ToughWare Prosthetic’s Retro Classic Hook replaces an older terminal device popular among farmers and ranchers in the Midwest. We have added some innovations of our own to create a wholly new design for the 21st Century. Units are made using additive manufacturing and a high-strength stainless steel/bronze matrix hybrid material.

  • Ÿ Classic hoop design for handling implements, heavy equipment, and tractor controls.
  • Ÿ Aggressive gripping faces for lifting and pulling bags, tarps, and covers.
  • Ÿ Cam-action “ice-tong” mechanism increases grip force when pulling.
  • Ÿ Robust steel spring replaces troublesome elastomer bands for reliability.
  • Ÿ Pinch force is fine-tunable by twisting an adjustment knob before mounting.
  • Ÿ Heavy-duty lubricated bronze bushings and stainless-steel parts ensure long life and smooth operation.
  • Ÿ Withstands exposure to water, biological fluids, diesel, and many agricultural chemicals.
  • Ÿ Accepts standard 9/32” ball cable terminations.
  • Ÿ Attaches to the distal forearm using industry-standard ½-20 UNF threaded boss.
  • Ÿ Accepts most commercial quick disconnect (QD) adapters.
Retro Classic Hook (RCH) in METAL finish (left) and BLACK finish (right). Lite, Standard, and Heavy pinch force springs are available. METAL finish has a light gold metallic color and is naturally antimicrobial.
